News January 2013 Photographs I took of one of my favourite Adelaide buildings, 400 King William Street, for its new German owners have been used in a 206 page 'brochure'. Photos and more details here..
November 2012 (again) South Australian professional photography awards time again. Very pleased to have won the Travel Photographer of the Year Award and the Robyn Stewart Award for Creative Excellence! You can see all the award winning portfolios here.
July 2012 Pointilism, who make 3D visualisations of proposed architectural designs, commissioned me to take some background shots of the Adelaide evening skyline. Which was great, as I got to get up on the top of 400 King William Street, one of my favourite Adelaide buildings, to take this shot, showing a not often seen aspect of the Adelaide CBD.
May 2012 Scored a gold and a silver award from the 4 images I entered into the Australian Professional Photography Awards judged in Melbourne this month. Very happy about that - gold awards are pretty hard to come by, requiring "excellence in execution and superb visual communication" See the awarded photos here.
April 2012 A very pleasant surprise: Capture ("Australia's top selling pro photography magazine") runs a 'Top Emerging Photographers' competition each year. I discovered I was the winner of the Architecture category when I opened the magazine in the newsagent's shop. More...

February 2012 Finished photographing the Globe Apartments in Synagogue Place, Adelaide for Grieve Gillett and Hindmarsh, my first commission for a multi-story building.
December 2011 I am now official freebie photographer for the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia. Run by volunteers, the Society owns a very valuable collection of historic books, maps and artefacts. The big perk for me is being able to visit and photograph the top level of the amazing Mortlock Wing of the State Library in Adelaide where the collection is housed.

September 2011 I was very pleased to be commissioned by the South Australian Film Corporation to photograph the brand new Adelaide Studios - a state of the art film and television production facility at Glenside in inner-city Adelaide. Here are some of my favourite shots.
August 2011 Lucky to have scored one of the sought-after places in the John Gollings Masterclass at the Ballarat Foto Biennale. Arguably Australia's best and most well known architecture photographer, John was a Creative Director of Australia's exhibit at the 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale. And he turned out to be a lovely bloke as well. I was delighted by the amount of really useful information and advice he generously delivered. It was a privilege to learn from someone at the peak of his craft.
June 2011 The Australian Professional Photography Awards were judged over 24-26 June in Sydney. Two of the four prints I entered were awarded Silver.
November 2010 Each year the SA Division of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography holds the SA Professional Photography Awards. Four of my prints were awarded Silver, and I was awarded the2010 Illustrative Professional Photographer of the Year for South Australia.
