I'm keen on making photographs that I am proud of and that people enjoy. I'm really keen on making sure my clients get what they hire me for - high quality photographs, made with careful attention to the brief, and delivered on time.
In October 2015, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography awarded me the honour of Master of Photography.
Over the past few years I have won a few significant awards in competitions judged by other professional photographers and in art competitions judged by leaders in the Adelaide arts community. You can see the details on my Awards page.
“Not only are we pleased with the quality of the images but also Peter brings a can-do, cheerful approach to the task. His work is both excellent and exceptional value for money.”
Steve Grieve, Director, Grieve Gillett Andersen Architects
The Adelaide Review reviewed a group exhibition at the Light Gallery in April 2014:
"Three works by Peter Barnes of the recently completed SAHMRI building appeal instantly. It is, of course, an outstanding example of contemporary architecture, but what Barnes has done is capture it in its best possible light – literally. The interior shots are particularly stunning for their bright, shiny detail.”

If you would like to know a bit more there is a feature article on my work in the February 2014 edition of f11 Magazine (starts p. 84), a short interview in Adelaide's InDaily online news service, and an interview along with two colleagues in the December 2016 edition of the The Adelaide Review.
My rates are reasonable, my pricing structure is simple and the licence you get to use the photographs is generous. Contact me for details.
